I am a semi-retired biochemistry University professor. My research was focused on the use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy to probe the dynamics and structure of peptides and proteins as they interact with inhibitors and membranes. I taught at the University of San Diego (USD) for about 14 years. I gave up my professorship as the rewards of having a more direct role raising my children called me louder than the frustrations of working in a slowly changing academic environment.
I am fortunate to be able to teach part-time at San Diego Miramar College, rent some vacation properties and have fun developing websites and applications. I've created this site as resource for guests staying my casa in Santa Fe and my cottage in San Diego.
I spend my free time paddle-surfing, practicing yoga, hiking in New Mexico and spending time with friends.

Learn MoreFay Cottage is located downtown in the village of La Jolla in the north of the City of San Diego. The cottage is located on the same property of 1920's home, which was recently declared historic under the categorization of the Beach Cottage style. The rental back cottage has a separate living area, full kitchen, laundry facilities, dedicated parking spot and outdoor patio seating for exclusive use by guests. The location is adjacent to two schools but is very private and peaceful in the evening.
